Here is a nice pair of vintage antique CONE shaped ink bottles, Blown in Mold (BIM), One is a nice orange amber cone ink bottle, embossed on base: CARTER’S / 1897 / MADE / IN U.S.A. Nice color that shades from orange amber at the top to a lighter almost honey color at the base. The 2nd bottle is aqua, embossed on base: CARTER’S / 1897. When made, this bottle was given a slight pour spout on the lip, which in turn made the lip of the bottle slightly crooked. See pictures above for details. BOTH bottles on for one low price.
CONDITION: Orange Amber ink is Near Mint, NO chips cracks, or dings. Just some minor light wear from use and for total accuracy I will mention a tiny manufacturing flaw in the lip, where a tiny piece of debris was in the mold – see close up picture above. I grade this one a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10. The aqua ink was dug and has light inside stain, but NO chips, cracks or dings. I grade this one an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10.
Great for the collector of INK INKS WELL WELLS BOTTLE BOTTLES.
