with a large outline C in the middle is boldly embossed on the front of this
antique quart mineral water bottle. On the back is “Congress
Water”.
This is a BIM (blown in
mold) bottle with hand applied tapered top that has an extra collar below the
top. The bottom is indented and has no embossing. The bottle is pre 1900,
perhaps as early as 1860’s to 1880. This is an ATTIC FIND bottle in super nice condition. It is
9 inches high and 4 inches diameter at the base. The color is a nice deep emerald green held in light. The glass is shiny, has no chips, no cracks and no haze inside or out. The original cork is still in the top and has kept the interior clean all these years. You just rarely find these early bottles in this super nice condition. The weight of the bottle is nearly 1 1/2 pounds so shipping weight double boxed will be in the 2 to 3 pound range.
