Phil & Wally Hergesheimer

This is a great pair of NHL autographs from the Hergesheimer brothers – Phil and Wally – whose careers were quite far apart.  Phil broke in with the ’39-’40 Black Hawks, and Wally made his debut in 1951 with the Rangers.  Phil had a six-year career with the Hawks and Bruins, and Wally spent six of seven NHL seasons in New York with one season in the middle with the Hawks.
I am listing a number of old time hockey players’ autographs that have been part of my collection since 1970.  I purchased them from a collector who had gotten most of them in the 1940’s and 1950’s and many of the players signed when they were still playing minor league hockey before making it to the NHL.
