gives a pictorial history of Christian Moerlein Beer from 1853 to the present. Operating on Elm Street in the Over The Rhine district for 60 years, the Christian Moerlein Brewing Company was Ohio’s largest brewery and one of the ten largest in the United States until operations were brought to a halt by Prohibition. Reincarnated by Cincinnati’s Hudepohl Brewing Company in 1981, the Moerlein brand of lager beer has re-established itself as a major player in the modern craft brewing world. It also has given name to the world-class Moerlein Lager House, which opened in 2012 on Cincinnati’s riverfront. A history of the John Kauffman Brewing Company is also presented, as its nineteenth century plant is now occupied by the modern Christian Moerlein Brewing Company. The book contains nearly 350 images of people, buildings, floor plans, labels, cans, signs, and you-name-it (most in color) to help tell the story!  The book is 68 pages in length, spiral bound, published in 2014.
