This adaptor is made out of high quality rubbery plastic. This new version of plastic allows it to seal better then other adaptors while refilling. Also the adaptor is redesigned to allow usage of more butane brands including Coleman Zippos and Ronson.( among many other compatible brands of butane.
To get the best seal I recommend leaving this adaptor in the hot sun for a couple minutes to make it more rubbery. Then use the adaptor as described. DO not put it in an oven or anything like that. Just heat it up a tiny bit to allow it to become fully rubbery.

ThermaCell refill adapter for butane. this adapter is used to refill ThermaCell bottles after they have been modified. To modify them you must make sure the bottle is completely empty and use a paper clip to make sure by poking the brass valve. Then take angle cutters and grab the brass piece below the gasket. Then pull straight out until the valve pops out. Once you have done that take a drywall screw and screw it into the top of the bottle. Then take pliers and pull on the screw until the check valve pops out. The check valve looks like a little cylinder and might have some blue on it. then get some super glue and put a very little amount of it on the brass valve. push the brass valve back in the way it came. Wait 10 mins for the glue to dry. Put the adapter on the ThermaCell butane bottle so that the G is facing up and do not press. Put the bottle of butane that you bought on the other side of the adaptor. Press firmly to make seal and refill the bottle. fill the bottle up with liquid until the liquid reaches the T in ThermaCell. Use these adaptors at your own risk, I am not responsible for any injuries that may happen when using this device. (personally I have never had any issues using this adaptor).
