This listing is for a vintage Rosenthal porcelain figurine of the ballerina Marianne Simson by artist L Fr Gronau. The figurine measures 13 3/4 inches high and is 8 1/2 inches from arm to arm. The base measures 4 5/8″ by 3″.

The figurine shows the beautiful Marianne Simson standing in pointe with her arms gracefully posed away from her body on either side. Her head is tilted to the side as she glances away. She is wearing a pretty strapless bodice and ruffled skirt. The piece has excellent attention to detail throughout, it is signed by the artist at the front “L Fr Gronau” on the base and on the verso “ROSENTHAL GERMANY Marianne Simson 8000” in green and an impressed number “1937”.
