Ink bottle over 100 years old with pour spout and both of
its original labels!

stamped into pottery near base …..full original paper label reads in part: STEPHENS SCARLET WRITING FLUID …etc…HENRY STEPHENS…ALDERSGATE ST.
LONDON….the small label on back reads IN THE INTEREST OF WAR TIME
ECONOMY PLEASE RETURN THIS BOTTLE WHEN EMPTY TO YOUR STATIONER WHO WILL
MAKE AN ALLOWANCE. THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO EIRE OR NORTHERN IRELAND…..thick heavy brown glazed pottery bottle…….pour spout lip with original emb rubber stopper…..7 1/4″tall….Excellent mint
condition with no chips or damage of any kind. A nice clean bottle with no
stains. Labels are both nice with back label all there but wrinkled.  It is interesting to
note the “War Time Economy” label from World War 1, which dates this bottle
to around 1915
