US WWII/KOREA Vet’s Miniature Medals and Full Size Ribbon Bar Grouping
This Grouping has all the hallmarks of being a Task Force Smith soldier.
Both the miniatures and the ribbon bar include the following awards:
LEGION OF MERIT
ARMY COMMENDATION MEDAL/ 1 OAK LEAF
WWII OCCUPATION WITH JAPAN BAR
NATIONAL DEFENSE MEDAL/ 1 OAK LEAF
KOREAN SERVICE MEDAL
UNITED NATIONS SERVICE MEDAL
The ribbon bar has the oak leaf on the ARCOM, but not the US Defense medal and no Japan bar on the occupation medal.
All are in excellent condition.
I found this set at an antique store in Wilmington, NC. Unfortunately, I do not know the veterans name or any other information.
