Vintage Haeger Orb Ball Candlestick / Candle Holder – Fiesta Lookalike.
Here’s a strange little thing. I would have never been able to guess what company made this without the intact sticker on the bottom. which reads:
“THE GREAT NAME HAEGER IN AMERICAN CERAMICS”
I’m not sure which came first, the Fiesta “Bulb Candle Holder” or this Haeger version, or any other number of other similar ones.
Condition:
It has a semi-matte, pale yellow glaze. There’s a light crack at the lip, as well as a glaze pinhole, and there are three odd chips on the inner rim that are curious. Candles are soft and wouldn’t do this to the inner edge, but guess what?… if this were used as a pencil/pen holder, then that’s what might happen. I’ve attached photos to show possible other uses. This would look pretty nice on the desk of the pottery or ceramics enthusiast!
