Color: Red
Original/Reproduction: Original
Country/Region of Manufacture: United States
Condition: This listing is for a vintage hanging decoration with pressed metal hoops & embroidery for REPURPOSE use. It is 32 inches wide. The front side material looks and feels felt-like and unfortunately has numerous moth holes. The back lining (which is not the same material as the front) does not appear to have been attacked by moths. However, the back's top straight edge has small holes going along it - as if the item was hung on something. Guessing, since hoops were sewn on and it appears to have already been hung, the original purpose of this item could have been for anything from being used as a window valance, wall decor to a decorative wardrobe piece. The pressed metal hoops appear to be made of brass. Please see photos of the actual items that you will receive since there are no returns. Thank you.

Vintage Hanging Decoration w/Pressed Metal Hoops & Embroidery For REPURPOSE Use

. The back lining (which is not the same material as the front) does not appear to have been attacked by moths. However, the back’s top straight edge has small holes going along it – as if the item was hung on something. Guessing, since hoops were sewn on and it appears to have already been hung, the original purpose of this item could have been for anything from being used as a window valance, wall decor to a decorative wardrobe piece. This unique decoration
was found in with articles of Victorian clothing and antique items. The pressed metal hoops appear to be made of brass. The thread holding the hoops on is very fragile. In fact, three of the hoops are no longer attached. We set them in place for the photos.
With a good imagination and the right skills this very old item can certainly be repurposed.
