VINTAGE KS 830 Cascade No. 2 Pencils by Rexall Drug Co. – Set of 12 – 1950’s or 1960’s
These pencils are NEW OLD STOCK.   Still sealed in their original package.  The graphics are super crisp and nice.  The pencils are still sealed, so no damage from handling or soil.  However, some pencils have some very “light” corrosion on the ferrules.  See closeup pictures to see more detail.
NOTE:  The image of the individual pencil is from another pack that was opened.  It is not one of the pencils in this sale.  I included images of it to represent some closeups of the pencils in the pack, so you can see what you are getting.  The closeups on the ferrule show some slight oxidation, which is common on some of the pencils in the sealed set, from what I can see.
Rexall Drug Company was the dominant drug store chain in the 1950’s with over 11,000 stores.  They had their own products under the brand name CASCADE.  These pencils were previously sold under the “Old Colony” name in 1953, so I believe these pencils are newer than that.  The chain ended in 1977.  I’m estimating that these pencils are likely from late 1950s, because they sold other items branded as “Cascade” in the mid-1950’s.  If you haven’t seen their array of pencils from that era, you should check them out.  Marketed under as “Belmont”, “Old Colony” and “Cascade” over the years they were in business.  If anyone has more information on these pencils or if I have mis-represented anything, please let me know.  This is the information as I know it.  Thanks for looking.
