By the Art Nouveau Period (1890-1905) Costume Jewelry had Come into its Own; Paste Stones & Pinchbeck were Routinely Employed with Great Skill by Jewelers Seeking to Likewise Craft Pieces Inspired by the Natural Forms, Flowing Lines, & Attention to Detail Typical of Their Era. This Piece Features Floral Ornamentation Decorated with Foil-Backed, Faceted Paste Stones, by Now So Aged, They've Nearly Rounded into Cabochons (Pic 2). Too, the Back of the Piece is as Meticulous as the Front (Pic 3-4)) ; In Sync with Nouveau Attention to Detail: Both Sides are So Smooth, One may run Fingers Over Either without catching Them.

After Acquiring this Piece in 2013, We did have to Clean it (it was Nearly Pitch Black on Both Sides). The Shine has Since Dulled Nicely to a Muted Gold.
