This sculptural vase by Timo Sarpaneva is titled Orkidea (or orchid).  There is an opening suitable for displaying a small orchid.  The vase stands about 6-1/4 inches tall and about 2 inches wide and is fashioned in clear glass.  It is signed on the base “Timo Sarpaneva” with the number 3068.
It is very nearly perfect.  In examining today I did find one pinpoint pit or nick or flaw in the surface which is absolutely not visible on display–I have looked closely at the vase many times and this is the first that I spotted it.  The glass also contains some very tiny bubbles and another tiny bit of something that occured in the making of the vase–also not visible on display.
